64. Elias Pilling^2,16 was born on 1 November 1867 in Kaysville, Davis County, Utah.¹⁶ He died on 23 August 1926 at the age of 58 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada.¹⁶ He was buried on 25 August 1926 in Leavitt, Alberta, Canada. Elias has reference number 1QS5-WC.

Elias Pilling and Ada Louisa Wells² were married on 26 January 1894.¹⁶ Ada Louisa Wells¹⁶ was born on 8 May 1872 in Fareham, Southampton, England. She was christened on 30 June 1872 in Fareham, Hampshire, England. She died on 4 January 1936 at the age of 63 in Mountainview, Alberta, Canada. Ada was buried on 6 January 1936 in Leavitt, Alberta, Canada. She has reference number 2N00-44. COMMENT: Surname seems odd: She is listed this way in the Pilling book, but the Ancestral File lists her father as shown here which would imply her maiden name could have been Carlsen. On the other hand her firstborn son has Wells as a given name. It may be that her mother was "moneyed", and in exchange for a generous legacy passed the maternal family name on.
