He was buried after 30 December 1982 in Saint Michael's-On-Wyre, Preston, Lancashire, England. This is the author of the research referenced herein as "Hornby Research".

William Arthur Hornby M. A. and Jennifer Margaret Martindale J. P. were married on 2 September 1967 in Saint Michael's-On-Wyre, Preston, Lancashire, England. Jennifer Margaret Martindale J. P.3,13 was born on 23 September 1944 in Of Casterton, Westmorland, England. She died Cancer (first diagnosed in 1990, and in remission for most of the intervening years. on 26 March 2007 at the age of 62 in Saint Michael's-On-Wyre, Preston, Lancashire, England.14 "Younger dau. Became a J.P. for the Wyre Division of Lancashire in 1979."
