403. Sir Henry Russell Hornby J. P.531 was born on 12 September 1888 in Lancashire, England. He died on 3 January 1971 at the age of 82 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. He has reference number 9NQZ-D1Q. 2nd Baronet of Brookhouse, of Barraclough, Clitheroe, Lancashire. Educated at Eton and at Magdalen Coll., Oxford. Entered his father's Brookhouse Mills cotton-spinning business, but later sold out. Served in Gt. War, 1914-1919, as Lieut., Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry. J.P. (Lancs.), 1921. One-time Chairman, Blackburn Conservative Assocn., and leader of the Conservatives on Blackburn Town Council. For many years starter for the Pendle Forest and Craven Harriers Steeplechases. Succeeded his father to the Baronetcy, 1928. The Baronetcy became extinct on his death.

Sir Henry Russell Hornby J. P. and Dorothy Elma Fry were married on 14 July 1913. Dorothy Elma Fry531, daughter of William Fry and Ellen M. Goldie-Taubman, died on 10 May 1976.

Lieut. John Raymond Henry Hornby615 was born on 1 November 1918. He died on 2 November 1942 at the age of 24 in El Alamein, Libya. 5th. Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards. Served in 2nd World War, and was killed in action at El Alamein, while attached to the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry. Unmarried.
